today at the market, a guy called out to me:
"mademoiselle, vous voulez vous marrier avec un fromagier?"
(miss--do you want to marry a cheese maker?)
....how could i refuse??? i love brie.

I would totally have misinterpreted that and thought someone said "Would you like to marry the cheese?"
That would make the answer even more awkward that I'm sure it already was.

Oh my, I am dying to know how you responded. "Mais oui!" would have been my natural inclination, although I just discovered that I am allergic to le fromage -- eep!!! We should talk...or e-mail.
